Air Jordan 12 "Royal"
Air Jordan 12 "Royal"
The Air Jordan 12 “Game Royal” is an updated look for the design that Michael Jordan made famous during the 1997 NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz. During Game 5 of the Finals, Jordan, then playing with a bad stomach virus, poured in 38 points enroute to a Chicago Bulls victory. Dubbed the “Flu Game” 12, the sneaker gained mystique for being the colorway Jordan wore during one of his most legendary performances ever. In 2019 Jordan Brand released this “Game Royal” Air Jordan 12, featuring identical color blocking to the “Flu Game” colorway, but with royal blue accents instead of red. The construction includes buttery black leather and contrasting Game Royal nubuck panels with a pebbled texture that add a pop of color. Black rope laces sit on a black leather tongue that features blue accents for the “Two 3” text and Jumpman logo. Further Jordan branding comes on the heel tab and heel spine with a black “23” logo on the blue rubber midsole. Completing the look is a familiar Air Jordan 12 outsole consisting of a black traction pattern with blue overlays. The Air Jordan 12 “Game Royal” released on September 21, 2019.
