The Nike Air Max 90 “Fried Chicken” is one of several deliciously good Air Max colorways by Nike that salute Japanese food culture. Along with the “Rice Ball” Air Max 90, “Japan” Air Max 95, and the “Energy Jelly” Air Max 97, the “Fried Chicken” makeup of the iconic running shoe features quirky overtures to the savory comfort food. A head-turner, the design features a yellow-and-white striped upper that serves to mimic the fried chicken paper wrapping that is commonly used in Japan. The metallic silver Swoosh, eyelet panels, and heel overlay salute the foil found in said paper wrappings. The Air Max 90’s traditional branding window has been modified with a clean white overlay with branding specific to this colorway. A tan panel surrounds the clear Air unit in the heel of the white midsole to complete the look. Release date: March 19, 2021.
